This is the year of his 20 year career, LALIENNE was formed at the end of 1994 and has really started again in 1995. The tone is set and a world tour planned. On January 7, a trailer announcing the program for the year was posted on Warner Music Japan's YouTube channel, a video that retraces all of the artist's periods. This trailer also announces the release of an album compiling songs emblematic of his career "All Time Best 20th Anniversary" released on June 10 and "Royal Blood - Revival Best" scheduled for July 15. The date of the "Grand Final" is also announced and will take place in Tokyo, at the Zepp DiverCity on December 28, 2015.
 

 

 

The world tour went to South America, the United States, Europe and Japan. Between February 28 and March 8 he gave no less than 6 concerts. On March 5 the concert in Germany in Cologne saw him perform with a special stage costume. On March 3 he was in London and part of the stage attire was lost in the transfer to Germany. The information was relayed to the German Street Team, which was able to provide a replacement costume made by a fan who had been cosplaying for ten years. He performed in France on the 7th in Marseille at the "Poste à Galène" and he was present at the Japan Expo Sud the same day. On April 18, Kamijo is invited by Mr. Shinzo Abe the Japanese Prime Minister to ????? -"Sakura wo miru kai” under the cherry blossoms (Sakura Ohanami). He was invited to this meeting to see the cherry trees like many other artistic, political and sports figures. The event is quite important given the number of people present. In June another Warner video details the tour and the musicians who will accompany the artist. We find Masashi on bass and Shinya (Dir in Gray) on drums on certain dates. Kamijo explained his joy in an interview to find Masashi with whom he has not played since Versailles and Shinya (Drummer of DIR EN GRAY) who has been his friend for 17 years. 
 

The first disc is a compilation of the emblematic titles of his career with songs from LAREINE, Versailles and KAMIJO Solo project. The album was released in two versions with two covers. The musical content is the same for both. Details at the bottom of the page in the discography.
The difference of the two visuals is symbolic, the cover of the regular edition is on the theme of the vampire because life is eternal. The limited edition is on the theme of humans, because it is limited like human life. The two sides of the character already mentioned in the costume of Symphony of the Vampire.

"Royal Blood" is an album mainly composed of covers of songs from the times of LAREINE, New Sodmy and Versailles with a new orchestration and a different interpretation. "Aristocrat Symphony" becomes entirely symphonic sung in an extremely low voice with a slower tempo, "Audrey", "Chou no Hana" and the other older songs take on a completely different dimension with the voice that Kamijo has now and a instrumentation in keeping with his current style.
The album also contains new tracks "Emblem" very cinematic instrumental intro, "Royal blood and" Heel ".
"Heel" is a really special title with very Latin sounds.
This album, for my part, had the merit of making me rediscover the oldest titles that I did not listen to because of the particular voice of Kamijo at that time. Since then, I have also been able to listen to the original versions and fully appreciate them. "Fuyu Tokyo" is one of those melodies that I discovered through this album. Today I like both, with a preference for the guitar solo of Mayu (LAREINE) which (for me) is sorely lacking in the new version.

In August, Kamijo announces that his Grand Final in December will be a special concert with LAREINE, New Sodmy and Versailles on stage for one evening. In June a new event is also announced in France for the month of November, the "Royal Week End". Two dates, a concert at "La Boule Noire" on Friday 27 and an exceptional evening at the Pavillon Dauphine on 28 with an acoustic concert accompanied by a children's orchestra: "Les Petites Mains Symphoniques" all accompanied by a buffet. On December 4th a concert in Brazil is also planned.

 

In October, traditional Live for Halloween on the 30th at New Side Beach in Yokohama. He appeared wearing a penguin costume ... the beginning of the penguins jokes and memes...

Following the deadly Bataclan attacks on November 13, 2016, B7Klan and Kamijo announce the cancellation of the dates in November and their postponement by a message via social networks. The concert of December 4 in Brazil is also postponed (finally canceled ...). A video for France and another for Brazil is posted to announce the postponement of the dates.
 

  

 

In November he gives an interview to Vyper which revolves around the stories told in his songs. A new collaboration with Artemis Classics is also presented with the Royal Blood collection.
